You’re officially part of The Pawtrait Studio family, and I’m excited to start planning something beautiful for you. From the very first idea to the final images, this experience is designed to feel easy, thoughtful, and completely centered around your pet, preserving their story in a way you’ll always come back to, filled with personality, connection, and the little details you never want to forget.

Each stage brings something different, and every one of them is worth remembering.
Timing
For Our Youngest Clients
If your pet is still a puppy, this stage changes quickly.
Their size, features, and personality evolve within weeks. Capturing them early means you’ll always have that “just brought them home” phase preserved.
If you’re considering a session soon, earlier is always better.
Before your Session
A Little Prep Goes a Long Way
Give your dog some light exercise before the session to help release extra energy.
Don’t overdo it, we want them happy and engaged, not exhausted.
I always have treats on hand, but if your dog is picky, bring something they absolutely love.

Pea sized for small dogs, bite sized for larger ones
Having them come slightly hungry helps keep their attention.
Schedule grooming a few days before your session, never the same day.
Same-day grooming can be overwhelming and tiring for your pup.
During your Session
Sit back and enjoy the experience
Your dog sets the pace. We’ll take breaks, explore, and keep things relaxed.
Don’t worry if your dog doesn’t sit or prefers to sniff around, that’s completely normal.
Your only job is to relax and enjoy the experience.
After Your Session
What Happens Next
Get ready to enjoy your images.
Within 10 to 14 days, you’ll receive your online gallery where you can select your favorites.
Once your selection is made, final editing and finishing touches will be completed, and your final images will be ready for download within 72 hours.
Artwork and printed products are also available directly through your gallery if you’d like to turn your images into something tangible for your home.
